If you haven’t seen it yet (and you definitely should), the new live-action series The Mandalorian (available via Disney+) is pretty much all any Star Wars fan talks about these days. It’s dirtier, grittier, and has way more personality and lore than the recent films of the past decade.

It’s no surprise then that Brick FORCE Studios, a YouTube channel known for recreating popular trailers with LEGO, has taken the official The Mandalorian trailer and made it more appealing to children’s eyes:

The entire video doesn’t just use stop motion animation and LEGO, however. Thanks to the magic of computers, Karol Pikuła, Kamil Adam Janko, and Paweł Kamiński all contributed a ton of VFX, animation, and 3D modeling work to make the trailer as fluid as possible.

Things like the characters’ facial expressions, hand movements (something impossible to do with real LEGOS), and environmental effects like dust and explosions were done digitally to add more pizzazz to an already awesome moving LEGO trailer. Despite all this, the magic of seeing moving LEGO pieces in the Star Wars universe hasn’t dwindled in the slightest.

What’s more inspiring is how close they got to the real trailer. Here’s a side by side comparison video:

Brick FORCE Studios’ YouTube channel is filled with movie and TV series-inspired LEGO animation videos. So if you’re a pop culture nerd who loves watching LEGOs builds just as much as creating them, be sure to check them out!
