Some people say coffee and CAD don’t go together. I don’t know any of those people, but if you do, look upon them with scorn and derision as you sip your scalding hot coffee through a mechanical pencil casing. Coffee is as essential a tool for creating 3D geometry as being able to move 3D geometry between different version of the same software (OOOoooo. ahem.) So, it goes without saying that a resource that relates coffee and CAD (even if only by name) is also essential. This resource is Solidperks Café. A new Jobs/Resource/Forum website launched by our good friend Dan Bertschi for the SolidWorks community.

SolidPerks for Solid Jobs

Dan Bertschi is owner of SolidPerks, a product design and engineering firm. He launched Solidperks Café as a way to help out his fellow SolidWorks users. Unlike sites that just write fluff about design, tech, cad and fab… SolidPerks Cafe is built around the user, offering up discussion forums focused on resources, jobs and training.

My goal is to bring the available SolidWorks jobs into one location for SolidWorks users. The site is free to all members (placing ads is paid for) and there is a dedicated space to for job seekers, educational opportunities, and manufacturing resources.

Great idea Dan. I didn’t find the coffee pot though. I suggest a regular Starbucks gift card giveaway (to me) and a dedicated forum board just to talk coffee and coffee brewing. Keys to success, my friend, keys to success.
