Gone are the days of the simple computer monitor. These days, curved screen dimensions, color profiles, resolutions, mounting capabilities, and connection ports sit amongst the top demands of professionals. Among others, Phillips wants in on some of that high-end market in 2018.

Hitting stores in January (only in Europe – North America expected later), the company’s 328P6AU and 328P6VU monitors offer gorgeous 32-inch displays with 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution and 3840 x 2160 4K resolutions, respectively.

With an integrated USB-C dock and ethernet connections on both models, the company aims to streamline and altogether eliminate many of the headache-inducing connections and cord management systems that plague professionals today. Both models also come with DisplayPort, HDMI, and D-Sub (VGA) inputs. Most importantly though, the monitor aims to be a quick plug and play solution for those with mobile workstations.

Both displays claim to display 100% of the standard sRGB color profile and 99% of the Adobe RGB color range. The more expensive 328P6VU model will come equipped with backlight support for an increased contrast ratio (16-zone local dimming).

As for pricing and availability, the Philips 328P6VU is expected to arrive in Q1 2018 with an estimated price of around €529 – €549 ($632 – $655).
