As someone who works from home, I can attest to dumping my belongings on my laptop like a food tray if I ever decide to move between rooms. When the working location I’m moving to is outside of the house, I simply throw all that stuff in a bag. It’s a messy way to go about, but it’s become a way of life for other folks who shift from workplace to workplace and me.
Blau is a three-piece set of organizers by the self-proclaimed “experience innovation” company Drop—explicitly made for workers who have to change locations daily. Instead of dumping your pens, phones, and mouse on your laptop, the Blau organizers allow users to organize their mobile workspace while still being ready to go at a moment’s notice.

The Fold is the most prominent organizer of the collection and acts as a tray for your work essentials. An elastic sleeve lets you slip the Fold onto your laptop, along with many pens, phones, chargers, and any other tools you might need. Once you reach your place of work, the Fold can be removed and propped up to serve as a standing organizer. The Fold can slip on 13 and 15-inch wide laptops as well as A4 and letter size notebooks. It measures 11.7 x 8.25 inches and, just like its brothers in the Blau organizer family, is made from anti-stain fabric.

The middle child of the bunch is called the Slim. This organizer can’t hold as many tools as The Fold, but it can be slipped on laptops as wide as 17 inches. You can put your work essentials on Slim’s single strap and carry wherever you go. Though thicker objects like a 3D CAD mouse are out of the question, you can still prop up your belongings for easy access while you work. Just like the Fold, the Slim fits A4 and letter size notebooks but measures 10.6 x 2.9 inches.

The final model of the collection is the Twist. Instead of keeping your belongings together, this organizer functions as a strap that you can wrap around your laptop, monitor, or other devices. It comes in two sizes: one measuring 15.75 inches and the other 11.8 inches. As long as you can wrap the Twist around an object, chances are the Twist will do its job right.

The Blau collection of organizers is currently on Kickstarter and has already exceeded its initial funding of $13,612 (it now stands at $35,507 as of this writing). If you like keeping your temporary workspaces tidy and organized, check out the Blau’s Kickstarter page.
