Well, well, well. We had LOADS of feedback on the new SolidSmack site design we launched last month. Some liked it. Some hated it. And some wanted to see more cats. There’s no way we’re showing more cats… at least, not after the one above–dang that thing’s cute, with little angry Psy screaming at him from behind a regurgitated kitty toy. And like that gnarly toy, we’ve gnawed, chewed, digested and re-digested the feedback you provided through the SolidSmack survey, spewing forth new updates to make the SolidSmack experience even more enjoyable. Here is the low down on what’s new, what’s improved, along with the winner of the iPad Mini.

Winner of the iPad Mini
We put over 100 entries into the combobulator at Random.org to draw the winning entry for those who so lovingly gave us feedback on the new site. It made us realize 1) how much we value your feedback 2) that you liked the mobile version and modern look and 3) that we should have done a survey a lot sooner. Most of you liked the new site, with suggestions on how to make it better-suggestions that led to the improvements you see now. It was also good to know what topics you liked and what we need to cover more. We’ll be doing just that. Without further ado, the winner of the iPad Mini is…
Joe enjoys making things on the weekend and likes to see design articles that are relevant to SolidWorks, but not straight forward tutorials. Like many of you, he thought the new site was nice, but a little busy. Thanks again to Joe and all of your for the valuable feedback.
For those overcome with the disappointment of not winning, we offer you two beautiful portraits of Smoth Mealer, star of the SolidSmack Cool Tools of Doom n’ Stuff. Here he is in two shades–overtly purple and putrescent green. Click to open the image, then right-click and select Save Image As…, Done! Thank you again, from the SolidSmack Crew.
