As a follow-up to the Tramline Ride showcased last week, we’ve rounded up ten delightful DIY Pallet Hacks to add to your summer project list.
Sourcing used (or even new) pallets shouldn’t be hard—nearly two billion and counting are in circulation in the US alone. Needles to say, that’s a lot of wood; however do be aware that not all discarded wood pallets are safe for upcycling.
It’s important to note that like other reclaimed wood, wooden pallets shouldn’t be used for firewood or crafts unless you can confirm they have not been treated with wood preservatives, fungicides or pesticides. To preserve the product that they transport, some pallets are fumigated with highly toxic pesticides. With that being said, use common sense!
