vuuch-logo2Vuuch.com. A completely new way to discuss and communicate your designs, or maybe we should just call it Pure 3D Collaboration. It’s the dawning of something very interesting in design environments that require information from multiple people with easy access to that info.

Vuuch.com is just a few days away from launching the SolidWorks add-on that will allow you to communicate and share your design from your SolidWorks interface.

top-ten-solidworks-thingsDo you wish you had just a sprinkle of magic CAD dust to make you a 3D modeling force to be reckoned with? I’d say, this article is it… but it doesn’t smell as nice and there’s a bit of an aftertaste.

Nonetheless, barring the aptitude you have for engineering and design and your eye-jabbing hand coordination, these ten ‘attributes’ are the absolute most crucial items to get down in order to have a successful boost to any career that requires using SolidWorks.

We’ll knock them out a couple at a time 1) to give me time to write them and 2) so they don’t rot to quickly before you consume them. So let me ask you, what is your skill level?

I didn’t get to try out the Embody Chair, but I’ve been living in a Steelcase Leap Chair for the past month. It’s been a… different experience I’ll tell you all about in an upcoming post.

In the meantime, feast your taste buds on this. I had the chance to also ask the design team at Steelcase about the design process behind the Leap chair. An ensuing mountain of information about all that went into creating this fabulously ergonomic bucket-for-yer-butt.

swan-dolphinSo, this year’s illustrious SolidWorks World is being held at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. That’s a small dog kick* away from the Epcot Center and Disney World.

Some of you could be dropped in the everglades, legless and blindfolded and still make it on time to the first general session Monday morning. The rest of us like maps and familiarity with our surroundings in case a quick escape is needed.
