modo-luxologyLuxology has some very, very SWEET news coming out today. It’s the ‘Hey, I can bring my SolidWorks models directly into a rendering program and get some dang cool graphics.” kind of news.

I talked with Brad Peebler, CEO of Luxology (modo), and got to see some of the new features in the upcoming modo 401.

Here’s the Press Release. 401 will be available in the next couple months. In hte meantime you can buy 302 for $895 and get a free upgrade to 401 when it comes out. $895, that’s super cheap for the power this program has.

Oh, and you may want to read the interview with Brad over at Novedge.

sww09-product-showcaseIn about half an hour, this place will be flooded with attendees and other sorts that like to frequent welcome receptions to kick off a big ol’ conference like SolidWorks World 2009. This is deep in the bowels of the Dolphin Hotel (down the escalator below lobby level)

The SolidWorks Partner ranging from Fabbing to PDM, Automation software to Computer Hardware will be showing their wares (and hopefully offering some kill take-homes) to everyone willing to stop by.

Here’s some first looks at the product showcase areas. Want to know about any of them in particular??
