If you guessed it was coming, you were right. GrabCAD has launched a new iPad app that puts the glory of GrabCAD right on your lap. Now, tearing yourself away from that 3D model addiction, stopping excessive model downloading and creating temporary tattoos of your favorite CAD model images is even more difficult than ever.
Have you ever wanted to actually interact with your 3D model? Sculpt its surface as if it was clay? Feel the response to bending your rubber do-hicky? How about have an snazzy-looking, aluminium 3D printer for less than $1000? Or, how about a low cost construction system without the need for specialty hardware? It may all be possible very soon through these three projects.

SolidSmack was on hand this past week at Dell’s Precision Workstation media event held at the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco. It’s been a few years since Dell has launched an update to their Precision line with the T7500, T5500, and T3500 coming out early 2009. This May, however, that all changes with the new T7600, T5600, T3600 coming out and with them a stylish new design, easier component access and a sweet Sandy Bridge-E pumping out the processing power.
