Ahhgg!! the AGONY. It’s like I’ve been wearing the same pair or socks on my eyes for the past few years. The SolidSmack Logo, the fanciful one with three cubulars in the site header, yeah, that thing… is getting kicked to the far reaches of space.

We’re coming upon a new year, and what better way to sport a new look… but that’s not all. SolidSmack.com is undergoing a revamp. First thing to deal with though, is the lo-go. So, without further ado, here. it. is.

About the Logo

The new font being used is Bebas from Dharma Type (created by Flat-it). It’s fabulous.

The cube was created in SolidWorks with a small amount of saturation adjustment in Photoshop.

There’s really no reason for going from three cubes to one cube, except it does hint at the cleaner, smoother, more modern site design and layout you’ll see in the future.

More to come

I’m actually surprised I made it this long without a change to the site or the logo. So, the logo is first, the new SolidSmack site is in the works. Ideally, it would launch at the beginning of the new year, but since it has to be perfect, I won’t commit to that, plus I’d like your input.

So, in the meantime, tell me what you think of the logo and what you would enjoy seeing on the new site. There’s plans for more content and better resources.

By the way, if you’re interested in being part of it, shoot me a line, but only if you’re hardcore, serious, cut-throat ready to bash the skull of blogging.
