You know what comes out on late at night after your tucked away in bed? A new look for the SolidWorks.com website and some beefy new content for your 3D CAD affliction.

The users
It’s a nice change from the static site of days gone by. There’s video, it’s way easier to navigate and has much better access to various SolidWorks resources . It’s a great improvement overall, and it’s obvious they’re wanting to engage you a bit more. Take a look at the success stories and the new community section.

Some in the SolidWorks community were even able to contribute content. It stands out from the typical spiel you would get. Of course, I’d probably add some more visuals and add links to the community blogs and SolidWorks demos on the front page. Now they just need to get the SolidWorks company Blogs switched over to WordPress MU and get those crazy execs writing about interesting corporate stuff, future development and what SolidWorks is doing around the world.

Whatcha think? Does the new site look better? Does it help you find other users?
