Well, it just so happens that there are issues with the 64-bit versions of SolidWorks 2009 SP5, 2010 SP1 or 2010 SP2 which have subsequently been pulled from the Customer download area… seems a SolidWorks software surgeon left a pair of forceps in the body cavity before closing up Mr. SolidWorks 64bit. Here’s more on the issue.

*Update!* The hotfix for the PhotoWorks Issue is now available. More info on the fix here.

From Greg Jankowski of SolidWorks:
This does not include PhotoView 360, this is a PhotoWorks only issue.
This has nothing to do with an installation issue.
We will release information on the hotfix in short order.
This has nothing to do with an installation issue and this is a separate issue.
The hotfix will be available in short order. There will be a SolidWorks 2010 SP2.1 available, most likely, within the next couple of weeks, if not earlier. As soon as we have more information to share, we will let everyone know.
You can read more on the issue at this forum post. It has some customer experiences you NEED to read, especially if you use Photoworks. This issue arises from PhotoWorks specifically, but comes on the heels of other issues I’ve seen mentioned with graphics cards and Enterprise PDM.
