Full Review:
Traditional nonstick cookware is a true lifesaver in the kitchen by making your task easier. It gives you a better cooking experience by preventing sticky foods on pans and easy cleanup due to the nonstick surface. One proof is the T-fal Ultimate set we had before. It is the best traditional nonstick cookware set we’ve reviewed due to the number of pots and pans included in its package and the quality of each one. They are sturdy and can last a long time. However, just like other traditional nonstick cookware nowadays, the fact that the set uses PTFE limits its capability in handling the heat. And although PTFE is PFOA-free and safe as long as you do not exceed the heat limit indicated by the traditional nonstick cookware brand, it might still be a concern for some users. We got a better alternative in such a case: the best ceramic cookware sets.

With this, our SolidSmack Household Appliance and Tool Research Team went through the 24 models of the best ceramic cookware sets in the market and put them to a series of tests. Besides their prices, we also checked for their ergonomic designs and additional features that might make things better for you. We also tested the sets we received by performing all the cooking methods in them. Most of all, we sought the guidance of our in-house experts to verify their ability to handle high heat settings and to check if there are damages present after the processes. With all this, we give you this year’s best ceramic cookware set: the GreenPan Valencia Pro.

We won’t say GreenPan Valencia Pro is the cheapest set we’ve tested; nonetheless, it can be the most reasonably priced option in this category. The number of items that come in the package can justify this. It comes with a 5-quart stockpot with lid, 3-quart saute pan with lid, 2-quart and 3-quart saucepans with lid; and 8”, 9.5”, and 11” frying pans. The set should be enough to cover your daily kitchen needs with such a huge set GreenPan Valencia Pro is offering.

Each cookware included in the set scored high in our quality control test. They have some of the most beautiful handles we’ve seen which gives both your eyes and hands satisfaction. The sleek handles of the pans have nice curves that lead your hands where to grip them. They are also flawless and free from sharp edges just like the rims and rivets of the cookware and lids. The pieces are hefty but given the relatively thick walls of each one, this is understandable.

The bodies of the cookwares are made of multiple layers that have their shares in making them durable. First is the hard-anodized aluminum layer which gives the interior a scratch-free capability. Inside, the cookware pieces have the brand’s Thermolon Minerals Pro. This is where the charm of the cookware set begins. Unlike the traditional nonstick coating, this diamond-reinforced ceramic nonstick coating allows the items to 600°F. It is free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium so even if you overheat the pan, you can be sure that no toxic fumes would leach into your food. This also allows the set to be reliable cookware from the oven to cooktops. As a boost to its versatility, the Magneto Induction technology integrated at the base of each cookware makes it possible to be used with induction cooktops.

When we tested it for gas cooktops and electric stoves, it managed to spread the heat evenly across the surface of the cookware. That was very evident when we used the 8”, 9.5”, and 11” frying pans in searing fish. The surfaces of the pans heated up fast and the fillets were cooked at the same doneness. The 2-quart and 3-quart saucepans also performed beyond our expectations. They didn’t burn the thick soup we were simmering without mixing them during the method. The same things happened with the stockpot. And as for the saute pan, it wilted and sautéd greens perfectly. Its 3-quart capacity was also plenty enough for us to perform dry heat cooking and liquid cooking without the foods appearing overcrowded.

The surfaces of all the items in the set were fantastic in resisting sticking foods. From the fillets we used to the sauce and soup we made, everything was just a matter of pouring everything into a plate or bowl. Moreover, there was almost no need for us to use a silicone spatula to scrape the sides of the saucepan for the sauce to come out. That also meant a breathtaking cleanup for us afterward. Though the brand stated that the items were dishwasher-safe, we managed to clean them under the running water and paper towels within minutes.
