With 31 hours left to go, the Coolest Cooler has raised a whopping $11.2 million dollars and counting with 31 hours still left in the now-infamous Kickstarter campaign.
The project surpassed the Pebble smartwatch as the all-time most funded Kickstarter project when it passed the $10,266,245 mark…which it had held for 862 day.
In this post from the official Kickstarter blog, Kickstarter founder and CEO Yancey Strickler gives us a rundown on the history of most-funded projects since the first days of Kickstarter…starting with a project that raised just over $15,000:
“On August 26, 2014, at around 10:00 PM EST, after 862 days, the Coolest Cooler took over Pebble’s spot as the most funded project in Kickstarter history. While Coolest Cooler is the latest project to hold the crown, it’s not the first. Thirteen projects have held the title of Kickstarter’s all-time most funded project. Here they are in chronological order.”
