Having made knives from everything from an old Jeep spring to a railroad spike, custom knife craftsperson Trollsky has proven time and time again that he can upcycle just about anything that’s made out of metal into a razor-sharp edge.

For his latest trick, he looked no further than the toolbox in his workshop to create what appears to be an otherworldly knife using an old boxed end wrench.

From the initial process of preparing the fire with pinecones to the final glory shot featuring a new age meditative guitar soundtrack, watching him turn this “very old wrench” into a brand-new knife is a near-hypnotic experience.

“Knifemaking is my way of life,” he explains. “I love to make something out of nothing.”
