Everyone wants to be loved. Everyone also wants a bucket of booze when they’re not loved. You could grab that mug shaped like a sad, baby owl (or just fall in the bucket) to drown your sorrows, but if you want to be sad in style or just have a quick snap from your fav bottle of Tennessee whiskey after a long day at work, you’ll want to do it from a Booze Bolt. The Booze Bolt is a shot glass size machined aluminum vessel with just the amount of tough ruggedness you need in your life. Greg Kiesow, creator of the Booze Bolt has a Kickstarter campaign going on where you can get snag a set, fill’em up and knock’em down.

Booze hound meets Tool hound

The Booze Bolt is a chunky 2 inch hollowed-out Hex head, 2.5 inches high and weighing in at .3 lbs (130g). It can hold a ‘pony shot’ (1.04 fluid ounces) of your favorite lighter fluid and is small enough for you to fit 10-20 on a small tray or along the top of your outstretched arm.

Greg came up with the idea after a challenging day at work and thought, “Boy, I need a shot.” So he gave himself another challenge. “I though about all the lame “tchotchke” type shot glasses out there. There was a definite void in the tough, cool, non-wimpy shot glass department. I’m attempting to fill that void.”

Filling the void he is, and with access to SURFCAM, a machine shop and the knowledge to create the parts, he worked up the beauties you see here. Designed and manufactured in the USA, the bolts are available on the Kickstarter campaign until September 22nd. A few of the Early Bird backer specials are still up for grabs with a non-anodized set of two shot bolts available for $40.
