Right as we were posting the news about TeamPlatform’s 3DFile.io site, the Sunglass.io team was stepping onto the stage at TechCrunch Disrupt. The company founded by Nitin Rao and Kaustuv DeBiswas recently landed 1.7 million funding and is bringing new features to the online collaboration platform, including 45 3D file formats, VoIP support and cloud rendering with a public beta coming soon.

At TechCrunch Disrupt the TED fellows and MIT grads presented the new UI and features of Sunglass.io, showing that the web-based app even works ‘on conference wifi’. They also answered questions from the TD Panel about the growing space of Web-based 3D collaboration tools for designers and engineers. They finished amongst the Final 6 at the event, putting CAD, and 3D collaboration on the cloud, is the eyes of a larger crowd. Here is Nitin and Kaustuv presenting.
