My favorite experience with Pro/E was training a user that was being force to switch to SolidWorks at his job. He wasn’t happy, not happy at all, but we got through it together, gritting our teeth and jabbing our eyes.
So, this will be interesting for me, not only from a SolidWorks user perspective, but from a “Hi-I-don’t-really-use-Pro/E” perspective. Nonetheless, there will be some people here I know and others I’ve spoken with.
- Al Dean from Develop3D
- Chris Williams of Vuuch
- Kenneth Wong for Virtual Desktop
- Roopinder Tara of TenLinks
- Leslie Gordon for Machine Design
- Jim Brown of Tech-Clarity
- Ben Eadie from SolidJott/Projott/Solidmentor and
- maybe a special appearance from Mr. Blake Courter of SpaceClaim
All, some of the favorite industry peeps I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting over the past couple years. For sure, some people you should watch if you’re interested in what’s going on in the whole CAD/PLM industry thing.
Some are probably wondering what I’m even doing out here if I don’t use any PTC products. I was actually invited by some friendly PTC folks who have an appreciation for the insanity that goes on here at SolidSmack.
I’ll be checking out the PTC products, seeing what new and interesting ideas they have, looking for even more interesting technology they may introduce and talking web tech with just about everyone I bump into.
Oh, and I forgot my camera to laptop cord. So, pardon the generic image of a small child dropping PTC/User balls suspiciously into a small bowl of… PTC/USER… balls. Hook me up if you have one.
