Full Review:

Honeywell QuietSet 8 is one of the best sellers in the market right now. Nonetheless, it is not the only reason why our SolidSmack Household Appliance and Tool Research Team hailed it as the best fan of 2021.

base of Honeywell QuietSet 8 fan
The base of the Honeywell QuietSet 8 fan measures 10 inches in diameter.

QuietSet 8 is a tower fan measuring 10” x 10” x 40”. Compared to other types of fans such as stand and box models, it makes it a space saver wherever you place it. Transporting it is also not a problem due to its built-in handle. And despite its vertical length, it can stay stable on flat surfaces due to its sturdy base.

control panel of Honeywell QuietSet 8 fan
The control panel is located at the top portion of the unit.

Its control panel is also one of the best we’ve ever tried. Compared to others where you need to stoop to access the buttons on the base, the controls of Honeywell QuietSet 8 are located at the top. It has an illuminated panel for the 8 fan speeds it is offering but instead of numbers, each level is labeled with words (Sleep, Whisper, Calm, White Noise, Relax, Refresh, Cool, and Power Cool). And if the light of the panel is too bright for your liking, you can choose from the 5 dimming settings. After 15 seconds of no action, the panel light will automatically turn off and will only light up once an input is made. Further,  the fan has a timer that can be set up to 8 hours and a dedicated button for activating/deactivating the oscillating motion.

remote control of Honeywell QuietSet 8 fan
The Honeywell QuietSet 8 fan comes with a remote control that lets you adjust the fan speed and activate the oscillating function.

Some of these controls can also be accessed without too much effort on your end. Thanks to the included remote control, you can set the fan speed and activate the oscillating motion. In addition, the remote control powered by 2 AAA batteries can be stored onboard. With all this, it is indeed the best fan to have if you are looking for something more convenient for you.

Honeywell QuietSet 8 bedroom fan
Even at the highest setting, the Honeywell QuietSet 8 fan can stay quiet at 40 dB.

Its power also proves its reputation as the best fan in the market. Though it offers a total of 8 speeds, the breeze of its lowest setting is enough to be felt across the room 10 feet away! You will also notice the actual difference in each speed level, proving that each one has a distinctive airflow to offer.

Moreover, the fan is also extraordinarily quiet. In our test, it only produced 40 dB at the max setting at 10 feet distance. And at the lowest setting, it only sounded 32 dB! This makes it a perfect addition in bedrooms if you need some white noise at night.
