Full Review:
In our review of the top 5 best steam irons, we witnessed how tremendous the Panasonic NI-WL600 could be in the actual setup. And now, there is no doubt that it still deserves the same recognition as the best cordless iron of 2021 due to its excellent designs and overall quality and build.

Among the 7 best cordless iron models we tested, Panasonic NI-WL600 was the only one that was able to give us a truly satisfying ironing experience. Almost stress-free, to be precise. The reason? Its contoured 360° freestyle soleplate allowed us to iron clothes back and forth fast and smoothly. Even in the sections where buttons are commonly the biggest problems, the NI-WL600 glided in the spaces gracefully. And due to the full absence of edges, the contoured sides won’t have any problem when you move the iron in any direction.

Another thing that makes NI-WL600 the best cordless iron is its base. It has a 6-foot retractable cord that keeps the base hot. Every time you place the iron there to rest, it will recharge its temperature so it will be ready anytime you pick it up.

It also comes with a cover which means you can carry the iron anywhere without experiencing burns! And although we noticed that the 4.7 fl. oz. tank has a small refilling hole (which resulted in some spills in our test), it is a huge relief that it is removable so you won’t spill any water in the unit itself.

The 3 temperature levels are ranging from 248º F to 392º F. Each one was pretty consistent during our test and it surprised us that even at the lowest setting, the NI-WL600 managed to remove wrinkles from the polyester and cotton clothes we used. Best of all, it heated up pretty fast which we didn’t expect for a cordless model. And in case the iron stays idle for 10 minutes, it will automatically shut off.

The addition of steam function (even in vertical position!) will also impress anyone and the steam hole layout of this best cordless iron is no joke. Unlike the other models with uneven distribution of steam holes, the contoured 360° soleplate allows uniform steaming from end to end. You can set the amount of steam you want from the 3 levels available and each one can deliver a continuous flow of moisture that is just enough to damp fabrics.

There is also a Burst mode that we particularly love which emits a sudden blast of steam that can penetrate thick clothes. And for the most stubborn wrinkled areas, there is a spray nozzle at the front of the NI-WL600 which can directly wet fabrics. Both the Burst and spray nozzle have designated oversized buttons that you can easily access at the top of the steam level switch. Overall, we found its steam function one of the best. With the addition of steam and a hot iron plate, we were able to straighten most fabrics with just one to two passes!
