Full Review:

We are all fans of full-sized ovens, but heating them up just for the simple work of baking a small pizza or one loaf pan of bread is not worth it. Besides increasing the temperature in your kitchen, it also means more energy use. Further, if you are a new homeowner, their prices could overwhelm you. If one of those things is your case, one of our candidates for our next top 5 best convection toaster oven review might make things better for you… the Cuisinart TOB-135N.

Cuisinart TOB-135N has overall body dimensions of 18.5 x 15.35 x 9.84 inches and only weighs 17.20 pounds.

Our SolidSmack Household Product Research Team still hasn’t had its roundup of the best toaster oven for 2022 but if there is one thing we’re sure of, Cuisinart TOB-135N has already secured its place. It is a good alternative to the conventional huge ovens at your home and doesn’t take up too much space on your counter. It has overall body dimensions of 18.5 x 15.35 x 9.84 inches and only weighs 17.20 pounds. TOB-135N will also complement any type of kitchen, thanks to its polished stainless steel body and sleek body.

Cuisinart TOB-135N offers the following functions: Toast, Bagel, Warm, Bake, Broil, Reheat, Defrost, Convection Bake, and Convection Broil.

Despite its luxurious look, don’t be fooled as there it is packed with a plethora of capabilities and features. This includes the 9 functions it is offering including Toast, Bagel, Warm, Bake, Broil, Reheat, Defrost, Convection Bake, and Convection Broil. All of these functions can be accessed through its control panel with a wide blue backlit display. Besides the buttons, there is also a big knob that you can choose the settings you need. It isn’t the most intuitive set of controls as reported by our reviewers but once you got the hang of it, you will appreciate what it can do. The buttons are very responsive and the dial itself turns without resistance. Even better, the latter can also be turned counterclockwise. As for the functions included, we were surprised at the additional settings you can do. For instance, the Toast function offers up to 7 shade levels while the Bagel function has 5. It also includes a timer that is up to 2 hours, making it one of the best convection toaster ovens with a plethora of controls.

The dial can be turned both clockwise and counterclockwise to select the modes and settings.

On the other hand, its Bake function has a temperature range of 150°F to 450°F, while the Broil function can go up to 500°F. The Cuisinart TOB-135N employs 25-degree increments in its temperature adjustment, which is decent enough for such an economical model. Of course, we wouldn’t tag it as one of the best convection toaster ovens without witnessing its performance, so our reviewers conducted a series of tests to see how efficient its Exact HeatTM sensor is. According to the brand, this technology should be able to maintain the temperature at the numbers you have selected. In our test, the unit didn’t fail to do so by keeping the temperature close to the numbers we set. This resulted in consistent cooking hours and doneness in all the dishes we prepared from meat to vegetables and baked bread. The Convection functions specifically thrilled us as we were able to roast a whole 4-pound chicken with perfectly and evenly cooked meat down to the center. It also toasts the best slices of bread and bagels. The best part? Each setting we tested has its own distinct brownness and the slices came out toasted on both sides.

Cuisinart TOB-135N also offers a generous interior space at 0.6 cu. ft. With this, it can handle a 12-inch pizza or even 6 slices of bread or 4 bagel slices at once. You also get the accessory you need for various functions such as an oven rack, baking/drip pan, broiling rack, and removable crumb tray. Furthermore, the racks have 3 positions which allow the oven to cater to casseroles. Cleaning all parts of the oven is also like stealing candy from a baby. Every accessory is non-stick together with the entirety of its interior walls. After testing the unit, our team was able to wipe everything with nothing but just tissue.

Every accessory is non-stick together with the entirety of its interior walls.

All in all, Cuisinart TOB-135N didn’t fail to impress us. Despite some minimal flaws like the absence of interior light, its performance ticked all the boxes on our checklist. Even the quality of the unit itself is tremendous that we didn’t expect it at such a price point. With all of these things, we have a strong hunch that Cuisinart TOB-135N will be a tough contender on our upcoming best convection toaster oven review next year.
