Of all the interesting things you could do with little toy cars, from gluing them on your face to throwing them at cats, this has got to be one of the best ideas yet. It’s a massive kinetic sculpture by Chris Burden designed to run 1,200 Hot Wheels and 13 Toy Trains on 18 lanes of twisted track in a LEGO and Lincoln Log city, aptly called ‘Metropolis II’. You’ll get an idea of the sheer scale of the installation in the video after the jump. If you’re in the LA area, the will be on display Los Angeles County Museum of Art in the near future.
