In a not too distant future, you’ll absorb your coffee through the air, control your home thermostat with third eyelash from your left eye and sculpt crazy alien faces in your browser. Actually, that last one is already here. It has been for some time as a open source port of a school project by Stephane Ginier called SculptGL. The crew at SketchFab thought it the perfect compliment to their web-based interactive 3D model viewer, so they set forth to create SculptGL + SketchFab. SculptFab was birthed with an improved UI and direct publish to SketchFab.

This week’s Spotify-powered SolidSmack Radio Playlist brings an entirely new face-smack of great music to help propel you through those laborious, tedious design tasks for the next few days. This week we’ve unleashed some of the better ‘pick me up’ songs we’ve heard over the years—everybody could always use one of those, right? Believe it folks. SolidWorks eDrawings for Android is real, living in a small bungalow at the corner of Google Play and awesome. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I’m not sure I would have believed it. We’ve heard it’s ‘Coming soon’ for the past six months. SolidWorks user Jack Owen was the first to comment on the app page, echoing the sentiment of other users of the alternate mobile OS saying, “Finally! We’re there!” Yes, indeed Jack, yes indeed.
