The SolidSmack Cool Tools of Doom n’ Stuff is GO. This short video features some of the coolest finds we’ve discovered on the web this week.

This week we look at:

DESIGN

The Fonde – Who doesn’t like a good ol’ plate of Ravioli? The Fonde is a new take on the rolling pen that makes creating ravioli from scratch a cinch. Handmade and available on Kickstarter for $79.

Calamityware – In Calamityware, a UFO invasion threatens the tranquility of vintage delft transferware plates and it is up to YOU, Mr. RAVIOLI MASTER to stop it! Designed by artist Don Moyer, this fresh take on the traditional blue and white porcelain trades classic scenes for hilarious UFO attacks. Also on Kickstarter starting at $39.

APPS

Morpholio – Morpholio is the new app from the Morpholio Project that creates a collaborative mood board for design teams. The portal allows users to work individually from their own devices to pull clippings from the web, Pinterest and other sources that can be used in aiding the design process. Check it out for free on iTunes!

Hanx Writer – You’ve seen him in movies such as Big, Turner and Hooch and the Man with One Red Shoe, but now he’s got his very own app. Hanx Writer is the first app from typewriter aficionado Tom Hanks that brings the clickity-clack typewriter experience to iPad. Free on iTunes!

DIY

NASA’s 3D Printing Archive – If building your own spaceship has proven to be too time-intensive, then consider 3D printing a replica straight from NASA’s not-so secret-anymore design database. This new collection of free downloadable files features everything from asteroids to satellites so that you can recreate the solar system directly in your stale gravity-dependent office. Strap on your oxygen mask and get the files for free over at NASA.gov.

Chocolate LEGOs – As if LEGOs couldn’t be any more awesome, Japanese designer Akihiro Mizuuchi has created chocolate LEGOs for all your block-building needs. While he hasn’t supplied DIY instructions, we’re pretty sure that a traditional chocolate mold-making technique will do the trick. Get inspired over at Mizzuuchi’s Behance site.

ROCK AWESOMENESS

LEGO Springfield – And speaking of LEGOs, master LEGO builder and Simpsons fan Matt de Lanoy has created the ULTIMATE LEGO Springfield. While LEGO did release a LEGO Simpsons set earlier this year, de Lanoy’s version features intricate details including building interiors for the whole town. Check it out over on his Flickr page.

MerFin – Finally, if being a mermaid (or merMAN) has always been a dream of yours, you are now in luck my friend. The Mahina MerFIN is an eco-friendly fin design that combines the power of two separate fins into one gigantic flipper. Moving through the water gracefully has never been so beautiful. Check it out over at UrbanOutfitters.com.

And there you have it!
