Special Events: Welcome Reception

Hey look, there’s a bunch of people just mulling around in here feeling all welcomed. I meet up with a friend and bumped into just about everyone you would want to. Then they kicked us all out. Here are the highlights.

Highlights:

  • The place was PACKED. Cattle car style. Apparently people enjoy socializing while partaking of free food and drink.
  • SolidWorks employees were out and about.
  • There was meat. Meat, cheese, some olives, some pickled stuff and some tasty bits of steak.
  • The partners had their sales spiels down pat. There’s some impressive stuff out there.
  • Some interesting products – CAM in SolidWorks (HSMWorks), Microsoft Surface/Model Viewing (IdentityMine), Centralized Collaboration (Vuuch), Color 3D printing (ZCorp)
  • The product showcase was the most impressive I’ve seen thus far. They had big stuff and small stuff, all created in SolidWorks to some extent.
