Special Events: Animal Kingdom Tuesday Off-site Event

It might surprise you, but people love being bused down the road to an Amusement Park that looks like a small jungle. This small jungle was Disney’s Animal Kingdom and it turned out it’s not all that small. Nearly the entire group of 4300+ SolidWorks World attendees and guests took to the walkways, the roller coasters and the multiple tables of food.

Here’s some of the pics…

Some pics from Lou Gallo. Great shots Lou.

The dark and mysterious entrance.

So people love to stand in lines at Disney. This one was for about 80 buses to ship’em over to the park.

The guides were kiind enough to tell us were to go to eat delectable piles of food piled upon tables through the different areas of the park.

There was a tree  thing. It was huge and looked like it was carved out of one giant tree… You’ll see later.

They had musicians being musical and dancing creature things. These guys were beating on stuff and it sounded DOPE. I could of hung out here all night but I was hungry.

Here’s another shot of those guys. They rolled those drums around all over.

I guess I only took photos of these guys.

Yep, looks like that all I did, but wait…

There was a bony thing people were walking under at Dino-land. It looked unsteady.

I think this use to be a dog when it had muscle tissue and skin

This dinosaur devoured a couple attendees even though it’s a vegetarian. The screams were weird cause they were still eating their hummus and Bar-be-que.

This was in a the Expedition part. These are people standing around. That one guys is on a rock. He probably fell.

People getting drawn. The longest line for caricatures I’ve ever seen.

Another shot of the attendees… who knows what happened next.

This was a person dressed like a plant and moving all weird and scaring people unawares as they passed by.

I think this was Africa, but not the real Africa.

This guy was… singing along? Making a pretty good attempt anyway. Saki please.

Uhm, I’m thinking seahorse? or an ugly beach towel?

Everest close up. I heard screams coming from within.

The moon over the Everest and the tree thing again to the right. Beautiful, eh?

Ok, here’s that tree closer up. It’s quite large don’t ya think. I wish there were tiny inhabitants popping out throwing things.

Here’s a detail that looks drastically similar to John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’… I left quickly.

A walkway.

and finally some more drum guys, actually better than the other guys
