So, I was sitting in at my desk gnawing on a loose router wire, when I received the following message from our good friend Jason Corl (@jcoeng).

“I’m in China now, but on my way, passed through Hong Kong… I like to check out all the tech that doesn’t exist in the US and found these gems.”

Needless to say, I was interested to see what glorious bits of overseas consumer electronics Jason had found. He sent the following about a wonderful Stylus and Router he came across. From that, I was able to track down the same Stylus and a similar Router online, preventing me from any spur-of-moment trips to Hong Kong. Here’s what Jason found and where you can get it online.

Aponyo Pen & iPad Stylus

First, a stylus with a conductive fiber tip. Works pretty nice, a little spongy but still feels good. The end flips around and clips back into the holder for low-tech ballpoint pen action. Aponyo Pen & iPad Stylus ($19.95 – Amazon)

  • Conductive fabric tip.
  • Dual-use stylus and pen. Flip it around to use as an ink pen.
  • Pen uses a standard D1 refill.
  • Compatible with iPad, iPhone and any Android capacitive touch devices.

Levelone 3G Mobile Wireless N Router

The other one I was super stoked about is this travel router. I’ve been in these hotels lately that don’t have wifi, only wired. This super tiny (70x55x13mm) wireless N router has one wan port. It’s awesome, runs off USB or wall socket. Also, super light weight and made for traveling. Levelone WBR-6800 3G Mobile Wireless N Router ($85.22 – Amazon)

  • 1-Port Ethernet 10/100Mbps RJ45 or 3G (USB) WAN interface
  • Secured Wireless with WEP, WPA or WPA-PSK Encryption
  • Features Built-In Firewall, VPN Pass-Through, Universal Plug and Play

Good stuff Jason! Thanks for passing this along to us who are not exploring the foreign lands. And to everyone reading, is there any cool travel tech you would recommend?
