cad-twitter-listAfter SolidWorks World a couple weeks ago, there was such an influx of CAD peeps to Twitter that it has forced me to take actions and update the CAD Twitter List. (It needed an update anyway)

Less than a year ago, the list started with an interesting set of 40 people exploring the possibilities of communicating online. Now it’s grown like gangbusters into a huge array of CAD-related characters and users… and not slowing a bit.

So, to make it easier to see who’s on the list, find people and follow them, I’ve redone the list and added @CADTwitList.

What’s New?

The List
The list… is not complete. I’m adding people as we speak. I’ve divided people up a little more and put them into some different categories. Should make it easier to find certain people. If you see mistakes, think someone should be added or do not see yourself, just give me a shout.

@CADTwitList
This profile on Twitter will send updates when the list is updated. It also has all the people on the list in one convenient place which makes everyone easier to follow.

Why Twitter?
You may still be asking “why, oh hammer of Thor, WHY.” I’ll be doing an article on how SolidWorks and 3D CAD users can use Twitter, but basically it’s incredible for three things:

  • extending reach of communities
  • providing a face for companies
  • networking with others in your industry

It’s turned into a great resource for many. Are you on?
