HYVE is a fresh new product from Herbst Produkt that has our OCD kicked into overdrive. I’ve seen modular storage and modular organization before, but I’ve got to say, never thought out like this.
Bring your unsorted drawers to the table. It’s about to get organized up in this biznatch. Herbst has a keen sense of what’s needed in this world today. Many designers and firms would look at the home storage, shake their heads and dream up a new way to attach mobile devices to our children. Herbst took organization head-on and came up with a product that’s not only cool, but completely innovative. (Just look at modular organization on Pinterest and you’ll see what I mean.)
This video from Content Magazine of Scot Herbst, Creative Director, explains their approach to design and gives you a great idea behind their successes, not only with this latest product, but many others in consumer spaces where it seems to all have been done before.
Herbst isn’t doing this product for a client however. This one is their own. Launching on Kickstarter in May, they’re completely funded with less than a week to go. They have three configurations. The HYVE hex-pods have a clip that allow them to be 1) clipped together 2) hung on a wall plank or 3) attached to a magnet. It’s an incredibly flexible system.
There’s no special pricing or early bird deals either. It’s all priced in packs of three starting at three HYVES for $19 and going up to 9 HYVES + 3 Wall Planks and 3 Magnets for $85. There’s also a sweet $250 pledge to have Herbst Produkt design an organized plan of action for your own space. Is there bulk pricing for that last one?? Get to it.
