I came across what is probably the most interesting job title I’ve seen associated with SolidWorks. A SolidWorks Visualiser.
It’s on a job posting out of Northern England and is listed in the Creative Media Industry. The pay for this is 25k-30k pounds (50k-60k USD) full-time.
The job description reads like a typical engineering position. If your interested, check it out.

SolidSmack is a very small behemoth of an online community about 3D CAD, technology, design, robots, and ninjas… Ok, maybe not ninjas so much, but those guys are COOL so there just might be something about some dang ninjas.

Josh-
Yesterday I got a call from a company wanting someone to scan fabric into a 3D file. Since I don't have a scanner, I referred them to Matt Lombard.

Wow, sounds cush!
“No, I'm sorry, ma'am, I can't model that complex shape or fix all those errors in that assembly file, but I CAN visualize it. I can see it, all right here in my noggin'”
