We’ve covered our share of multi-tools in the past, from the classic Leatherman all the way to the heavy-duty COMBAR. But none of these tools are as small as the one I’m going to show you today.

The Claw by London-based design company Malboro & Kane is a multi-tool that measures only 18mm. That’s less than the length of the top portion of your index finger and a little more than the width of a SIM card. Despite its size, this tiny multi-tool is made from high-grade stainless steel, titanium, or Damascus steel (depending on which material you choose).

Though it has a variety of uses, the main purpose of the Claw seems to be that of a bottle and can opener or to pick that gunk out from under your fingernail. You can crack open a cold one on a hot, sunny day, pry open paint cans for some weekend housework, or have pristine nail beds on both hand and feet.

Apart from serving as an opener or cleaner, the Claw can also be used as a screwdriver, a box cutter, a mini crowbar to remove staples and the like, and even as a flint striker for when you need to light your grill. These are just the uses Marlboro and Kane have listed, and I’m sure with some imagination, you can come up with a variety of situations where this tiny multi-tool will come in handy.

Seeing as the Claw is so small, you would want to put it on a lanyard or a keyring so you won’t lose it. You can also store it in the useless front pocket of your jeans or in your wallet, but it’ll be your fault if it accidentally falls out.

The Claw successfully raised a total of £79,173 (about $100,990) on Kickstarter during its campaign. You can order one for yourself on the Malboro & Kane webpage for $29.99, which isn’t bad considering its size and the number of uses it has.
