Smack Your Senses: the SolidWorks Engineering Stimulus Package

by Josh on April 7, 2009 · View Comments

Look out unemployed and soon-to-be-unemployed engineers and designers… SolidWorks has gone and done the nearly unimaginable… free software.

For a limited time, they are offering a free trial download of SolidWorks 2009 to stimulate the corpuscles out of your ever-loving, unemployeed facial pores. And although your excitement may instantly look like a bad case of rosacea, the visible joy could very well turn into SolidWorks skills you’ve never known. Check it out.

Give’em the goods
Well, a lot of you anyway. First of all, it’s available currently for U.S. or Canadian resident, but don’t worry overseas peeps, they’re expanding it to other regions. You can contact your VAR to find out if you’ll be in on the deal soon.

SolidWorks Economics 101: Give Engineers and Designers Free Stuff

Note: Check with your local SolidWorks reseller (VAR) to see if they’re doing any promo stuff too. You may be able to get away with a free seat of SolidWorks and some training from a VAR. That’ll racks up some big points against that nasty, mean ol’ unemployment monster.

The SW Enginering Stimulus 2009 free student version asks for a serial number after downloading. Where do we get the number from if we are downloading for self learning? May your answer bring you lloads of bounty throughout the day.

The SW 2009 Enginering Stimulus asks for the serial #, product code after the download. Where do we get this from, or is there a way around it? I need a refresher.

I'm not sure about the status if the Stimulus package right now. Did you download it from here? http://www.solidworks.com/sw/esp/engineering_st...

You may want to contact a VAR to get more info on it… http://www.solidworks.com/sw/SolidWorksOfficeWo...
