SolidWorks News: Prizes Galore and You, Baby

Ahhh, it’s the middle of the summer. Vacations are planned, mosquito are biting and there’s so much going on in the world of SolidWorks the coffee pot at SolidWorks HQ in Massachusetts is on 24/7.

Yes, things are heating up and it’s a perfect chance for you to get all your incredibly helpful designs, thoughts, tips and ideas on anything and everything about SolidWorks out in the open for everyone else to be utterly amazed at with low mumblings and quiet discussions. Here’s the rundown on all the craziness.

2009 – Call for Papers
Here’s your opportunity for honor, infamy or a combination of the two, plus a FREE PASS to 2009. Each year the SolidWorks community is invited to present at the Annual Conference. This year it’s being held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL. Check your calender for February 8–11, 2009 and get those presentation ideas flowing! Make sure to read Mike Puckett’s Tips for presenting at SolidWorks World and saving yourself from embarrassment.

SolidWorks Beta 2
The SolidWorks Beta program is roaring along and this week starts Phase 2 of you chance to check out the new features, push the buttons and win some prizes just for letting SolidWorks know about any bugs you come across. If a mini DVD camcorder, GPS system or LCD Television sound nice to you, walk nonchalantly over to the Beta Site and download that latest version of SolidWorks 2009!

    hmm I was looking to that contest but:
    "The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law, local and national, regarding contests, which includes Quebec, Brazil, the Netherlands, China, New York, and Florida."
    I think it's about the prize money if only you could win a car or something then I could enter :(
