solidworks 2008 logoThe 2nd Service Pack for SolidWorks 2008 has been pushed out today.

If your doing a new installation you’ll need a 3.8 GB Net to hold the fish, so you might need to uninstall Call of Duty if you don’t have enough space.

Changes?
SP2.0 EV (Early Visibility) was a nightmare for me with constant crashes. There’s not much mention of this in the SPR List. I’m 20 minutes from getting it downloaded and will post updates on this post.

Update1: So far, so good. I’ve crashed once when selecting File, Browse Recent, but haven’t been able to reproduce it. I’m getting ready to throw some larger stuff at it though.

Update2:I’ve crashed multiple times, doing different things. I do not believe it’s a bug in the program, but a conflict with the installation. Possibly a driver conflict. User error right? Even still, why didn’t this happen before?

Two things that are different on my machine. I’m running a RAID0 array and I also have 2007 installed on the same machine.

Any way you slice it. Test it before going site wide.

This mostly seems local to my machine, at least the particular kind of crashes I’m having, and from what I’ve read on the forums. Just remember to test on one before installing on others.
