I have absolutely no interest in golf. Before you choke or stop reading the blog, It’s not that I don’t like it, I’ve just never really played. My excuse is that I’m left-handed… which is working less and less each time I’m asked to play.

For the first time since 1994, the PGA Championship is in Tulsa this week and our employer gave my brother and me two tickets to go, so we’re going. We’ve mostly followed Jim Furyk around and saw Tiger…on the TV being interviewed. Oh, and I ruled the leader board like it’s never been ruled before. (photo below)

So, in honor of anything and everything that is cool about golf I have a model of a golf ball that is really interesting. It’s a SolidWorks 2007 model from 3DContentCentral done by Tim Thieler. It’s could be done with fewer features but he’s used an interesting approach, so I thought I’d throw it out. Rollback through the features. It has a lot of methods you may not normally use or think about. Click the shiny ball to download.
