Today is the official Download Day 2008 for the new version of the browser. Their mission: to set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours.

Since will probably be the first browser you use 3D CAD on in the future, you’ll probably want to download it. The improved performance is incredible. They’ve also improved add-on, bookmark and download managers as well as strengthened security against malware.

The download goes live at Noon CST (10am PDT).

I have been waiting for this day! I hope they release the portable version at the same time, that is what I have been using. Makes it convenient to drag all my bookmarks and passwords around with me between work and home and on the road.
  • So, is the portable version available or not? Same here, I'm using portable version most of the time.

So far nothing but "thumbs up for me!" The flyouts work so much better!

Lost some of my favorite extensions though. I hope they get upgraded soon.
