solidworks-certified-professional-cswp.jpgHave you ever dreamed of joining the ranks of the SolidWorks Elite? Yes? Well, there’s currently 5,327 Certified SolidWorks Professional and you could be the next one… for absolutely FREE. That’s darn right, pick yourself up off the ground.

SolidWorks has opened up the doors to allow anyone who thinks they are worthy to take the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) or Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) for absolutely no money. The only catch, sign up before November 1st or face ridicule and scorn as everyone else earns a shiny certificate to mount on the wall next their wall calendar of mountain lions.

Here’s the big linky text to entice you.

Sign up FREE by NOV. 1!!

Bonus!
Tell them Josh at SolidSmack sent you for a strange look of delight and mild bewilderment.

Thanks for the heads up Lenny.

I feel sorry for the chumps that might have recently taken the exam, not knowing about this. Kinda like the iphone ordeal…

I’m wondering why the promotion, though. Are there not enough people interested in taking the exam? Are they trying to push numbers for some marketing/PR reason?

I took it 2 years ago. Even if you don’t get in on the promotion, I think it it’s well worth the price. If it’s for free, then you have no excuse not to try. I wonder how many people have signed up?

yeah, if I ahd just taken it I would feel pretty ripped off. I’m would hope they would give refunds in that case. I think it’s to make it a little more attractive and it would be nice to know how many jumped on this.

Thanks for the Info Josh, I signed up for both the CSWA and CSWP tests, got the voucher and took the test. I am now a Certified Solidworks Associate and Professional. Just wanted to thank you, because I probable wouldn’t have known about the free vouchers.

Hey Josh,
I got this information kind of late for the sign up dead line. Do you think it will be offered again since I would love to be able to be certified so I can continue to do my volunteer teaching in our schools with SolidWorks.

You may want to contact your VAR and see if it’s still available or see if they can work something out. Otherwise, you’ll have an opportunity at SOlidWorks World if you’re able to go.

Cameron December 28, 2007 at 12:28 pm

I want this too! What is a VAR? Solidworks World? Time to Google this stuff…

Josh December 28, 2007 at 1:19 pm

A VAR is a “Vallue Added Reseller” for SolidWorks. The sell the software. SolidWorks World is the yearly conference, beginning of each year that has a bunch of technical sessions and get-togethers along an exhibit hall of Program Partners that work with SolidWorks and Keynote addresses from interesting people.

Just wonder if anyone interested in exchanging his/her old Solidworks cswp test paper for test preparation? I took the test a while ago but didn’t pass. In my opinion, the cswp test is 50% SW knowledge testing and 50% speed modeling testing. I guess it would definitely help to do more practicing problem.

This is a dream site. This site actually put my hopes up about my career as an engineer. I am a recent graduate and am still searching for job in design role.

With the information on this site I can't see the boundaries anymore.

Thank you so much
