Not sure about everything else, but I'm pretty sure that CATIA is an acronym standing for “Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application.”

And all-caps for the last name is a traditional French thing, albeit one that is slowly starting to fade away from what I understand. I have a French coworker who writes out her name that way.

Actually is only last names... so Joshia MINGSIA.
and all employees get a 3 letter name acronyms based on the first and last letters in their names... in all caps. for example - JMS would be your's Josh... JMS at 3DS dot com

there is one lucky man that has a 2 (yes TWO!) letter name acronym. BC.

have fun and come back uncapitalized.
