Do you remember those little prizes in Cracker Jacks you could flip back and forth and see two different pictures? The team down at Big3D have been busy making a much more complicated, 98 foot wide by 13 foot tall one of those.
The Lenticular Mural at the Mandalay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas is the biggest ever and they even got Guinness to prove it.
Did you see that?
Now this is all graphical using Photoshop and a plastic lens, but it’s an amazing look into how images are viewed and how the mind perceives depth and volume. I haven’t seen the one up at Mandalay Resorts, but to get the idea, this Big3D created this to show how it would kind of appear.
The big3D website also has some interesting insight into how they go about creating these amazing exhibits and even show you how it works and how to design for it.
Let me know what you think if you’ve been able to see it.
