An Engineers Guide to Kittys *Shiver*

This could also be called “Why Engineers Should Not Have Cats.”

I’m sure this will help someone and also disturb others. I’m sorry, I just can’t stand cats. It’s not so much the cat though. It’s more the giant whelps I get when scratched and the incessant amount of hair that spills out of their bodies. Hairless, clawless cats would be fine. I would also suggest to the guys that it may help you get a girlfriend, as long as she doesn’t swell up from cat scratches.

  • My name is Devon Sowell and I like cats.

    Cats don't bark.
    Cat's don't bite strangers.
Cat's don't have to be walked.
    Cat's cost less than dogs.
Cat's aren't needy like most dogs.
Little cats don't shake and pee on the floor every time you look at them, like little dogs do.
Cat's chase away unwanted thieves that raid our garden.
Cat's don't have to be bathed.

That's Ok Devon, I still like you :) my little dog doesn't pee on the floor, but he does bark at all the wrong times.
  • Hi Josh,

Well, as someone who's had both, dogs and cats (at the same time), let me tell you that cats are not all that bad. They are really sweet and gentle if you give them a chance! And, there are cats without fur... or at least with hair so short it won't shed all over the place. One thing I like about cats is that they can keep themselves entertained better than dogs do. And you can always trim their claws with a special tool!

Dogs do have their advantages too. They can keep you company when you go for a walk, they can scare burglars away, they are always active and playful, and they are really fun for kids of all ages.

What can I say? I love both, growing up I had lots of them, but now that I'm the mother and my kids ask for a pet, I don't want neither. Dog or cat, is still a lot of work! :-)

Yeah Gabi, they're pretty gentle. I'd probably like them too if I wasn't allergic. I like the ones that can do backflips.
  • Gabi
Well, that's the other thing for us. Ethan, my 8 yo son, has asthma, so I would never dare bring a cat home. Maybe a dog... someday... perhaps... :-)

Ok, don't know what just happened to my last post... but anyways... I enjoyed this video alot, my favorite part was the cat yoddling at the very end... I think all of us have squeezed our fluff balls a little just to make this funny sound... Can't help but love their dry humor too.
