Ok, SolidWorks World 2008 is coming up and if you’re not going you probably don’t care so much. If I wasn’t going I would either be filled with jealousy or completely disinterested.
Nonetheless, it’s going on and a bunch of crazed SolidWorks users and people vying for your business will be out in full force. But really, need I go on.
Instead here’s some photos of what you’ll see or may miss in San Diego because you’re in a cubicle or technical sessions all day.
Royal Food Mart – First and Upas

The Gaslamp Quarter

The San Diego Skyline at Night

San Diego Bay

San Diego State University

San Diego Chargers – Qualcomm Stadium

The less fortunate in La Jolla

Surfer Crossing

Torrey Pines State Reserve

SolidSmack is a very small behemoth of an online community about 3D CAD, technology, design, robots, and ninjas… Ok, maybe not ninjas so much, but those guys are COOL so there just might be something about some dang ninjas.

Torrey Pines State Reserve, that’s a great place to visit. There you’ll find hiking trails with views of the oceans below. Also check out the gift shop/museum. This park protects the Torrey Pines Tree, unique to this area.
Enjoy,
Devon
